How do I choose the book dimensions?
We format to typical trade sizes that platforms and print on demand providers support.
Trade Paperbacks = 5.5 x 8.5
Hardcover = 6 x 9

What formatting tools do you use?
We have several formatters on our team. Each prefer their own tool. Some use Indesign by Adobe, others use tools like Atticus.
Most take your text and prepare the file for formatting first in Word. Then import from that format to the formatting tool they are comfortable with. Then the magic begins.
How can your team format so many books?
