Author Launchpad Review
Your book deserves honest, detailed feedback before it goes to market. Our Author Manuscript Review combines a thorough beta read with a structural audit to give you a clear picture of where your book stands. This is not a published review for Amazon or any retail platform. This is direct, practical feedback meant to help you strengthen your writing and sharpen your story.
We use a combination of advanced in house software and fellow author review to evaluate your work from multiple angles. Our beta read portion uses a programmed reader approach, which allows us to handle a high volume of submissions while keeping the price affordable for every author. You will receive actionable notes on structure, pacing, readability, and overall impact.
This review is also the first step for any author interested in being published through Carolina House. If your manuscript shows promise and we choose to bring you on board, we will follow up with a full publishing offer that includes access to our training courses, marketing support, and advertising assistance.
Editing
A polished manuscript is the foundation of a successful book. We offer three tiers of editing to fit your needs and your budget.
Our Software Edit uses top tier editing tools to catch errors and inconsistencies across your entire manuscript. All changes are tracked so you can see exactly what was adjusted, and you receive a clean revised copy when the process is complete.
Our Manual Edit connects you with a vetted professional editor for a deeper, hands on review. We coordinate the entire process, acting as the bridge between you and the editor. We also maintain a list of proven editors we and other authors have worked with, which we are happy to share.
Our Final Review Edit is designed for manuscripts that have already been through at least one round of software editing and revisions. This pass focuses on preparing your book for formatting by catching anything that slipped through or changed during rewrites.
Formatting
Great writing deserves a professional presentation. Our formatting service takes your chapters from Word or Google Docs and transforms them into a properly structured book ready for publishing. This is a manual process handled with care to make sure every page looks clean and reads the way it should.
Basic book formatting is included at no extra cost for all signed Carolina House Authors as part of our publishing agreement. We also handle the uploading process to Amazon and other sales platforms for our authors, taking care of the technical details so you can focus on what matters most: writing your next book.
Cover Design
Your cover is the first thing a reader sees, and it needs to grab their attention fast. We offer cover design solutions built for authors who want a quality look without the hefty price tag.
Our Manual Design option focuses on getting the layout right with clean text placement, proper print areas, and a finished product that is ready for both digital and print editions. Our AI Assisted Design option lets you choose from category specific visual styles, which we then customize with your title, author name, and any additional text.
For authors who want a fully custom cover from a professional designer, we also provide a curated list of talented cover artists we trust and recommend at no charge.
Marketing Plan
